It’s funny how our paths cross in life and in business, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of having a job like I have. I met Holly while doing a yoga teacher training in Chicago. After few years later, and a move for both of us, Holly emailed me with the exciting news that she’d gotten engaged! I had the pleasure of working with her on her invitation suite, which pulled in elements of their hometown (like the Roebling Bridge) while also melding the super modern venue and their more traditional taste. A huge thank you to Kortnee Kate for the stunning images.
We came up with a classic monogram in her palette of navy + gold and kept the rest pretty simple and clean. Using both gold foil and digital printing, we got the look Holly was going for but still kept the budget in mind.
Congrats to Holly + Louis! Their big day looked as beautiful as they do. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness. xx
My sister went to high school on Cape Cod, and since then, I’ve had a serious affinity with all things nautical. Aside from my wardrobe consisting of mainly navy + white stripes, my love for the rocky coastline, fresh seafood and wood shake style cottages runs very deep. So when bride Vanessa contacted me to design the paper goodies for her nautical Peaks Island, Maine wedding, I was 100% in. Playing off a classic palette of navy, white + coral, we created a custom digitally printed suite featuring a vintage map liner of Peaks Island (not shown.) Thanks to emilie inc. photography for the gorgeous photos from Vanessa + Jack’s dreamy day!
How gorgeous are they? Aside from their invitation suite, we created custom menus + place cards to go along with the simple, nautical feel of the event. Congrats, Vanessa + Jack!
Sometimes the weddings that are a bit out of my element are the most awesome. And this incredibly stunning Chicago wedding was no exception. The bride came to me through the always fabulous Katie Jayne Weddings, and we hit it off right away. Although she lives in (the world’s greatest city) Chicago, she’s from Maryland, and while visiting family one weekend we got to meet for coffee and chat design in person. Let me tell you, this girl has some serious style. From the vendors she chose to the palette of her big day, it was nothing short of incredible.
Featuring inkblot imagery, marbled papers, metallic accents and some of the most crazy-awesome DIYs ever, this wedding was hands-down one of my favorites. Not surprisingly, this wedding got tons of wedding blog love. From a feature in Swooned Magazine to a post on Style Me Pretty Illinois, Allison + Dave’s big day did not disappoint.
I’ve been so excited to share this amazing suite, that was designed with a ton of help from the bride! Wanting a vintage-inspired suite complete with letter-style invitation, the bride had her hands in the design from the moment we started. She hand-stamped hang tags that were tied with twine, and we incorporated a stunning map designed by her friend all topped off with letterpress, foil and digital printed inserts that were held together in a champagne pocket folder and sealed with a custom wax seal…swoon!
We even played with a custom crest playing with citrus fruits and palm leaves representative of the gorgeous Florida locale. I couldn’t be more happy with how these turned out! You can see the rest of this stunner of a wedding right here.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself at how incredibly lucky I am to get to work with some of the most fabulous + talented people in the wedding industry. And when one of those incredible people approaches me to be a part of a creative shoot? Well, it doesn’t get much better than that. Case in point: this sun print shoot coordinated by the always-amazing Clary Pfeiffer of Clary Photo. Styled to perfection and oozing with pretty, this little number was picked up by Grey Likes Weddings.
Going with the blue, gold and taupe palette, we did an embossing treatment on the invitation card itself and cut liners for the outer and reply envelopes from hand-made sun prints. It was finished with stunning calligraphy by Mike Cassimatis and a perfectly matched vintage stamp. LOVE.
Thanks so much to Clary for letting us be a part of your pretty little experiment!
